A Hive of Inactivity

Although many cats live in colonies, the extremely rare South American Catbee (felix stingus) builds elaborate hives for housing and protection. A typical catbee hive is a multi-generational project that can take decades to complete, since construction must allow for the catbee’s extensive napping schedule.
