Looking back on the incident, I can see some error on my part. I was caught up in the heat of the moment and should have known better. In my defense, however, it was awfully unsportsmanlike for the squirrel to dive into the bramble like that.
As she stood in embarrassed silence on the patio, listening to the chattering laughter from within the trees, Enid was forced to admit to herself that the squirrels had punked her yet again.
