Recent Aquisitions

The Myron H. Fleurnbleurn Museum of Fine Art is pleased to announce the acquisition of “The Bread Table” (1672) by Flemish painter Oonst van Rhynkidynk. Based upon sketches made by van Rhynkidynk while visiting Bohemian friends, the painting captures the regret and longing of a cat yearning to make a tuna fish sandwich, but lacking mayonnaise, which would not be invented until 1756.

(If I had some olive oil, maybe a little balsamic vinegar…)

I am giggling too hard to come up with some dignified artist joke.

I think I’ll just go make tea.

      Me too. Great work, Mike.

How is Ani today? I dropped off my feral Scorpius for his little operation this morning and am currently sitting on pins and needles.

I think Ani’s improving. I set out a small amount of carrots and spinach and she ate a few pieces. I administered her pain meds this morning, and that went more smoothly. She didn’t eat overnight, from what I can see, and there weren’t any fresh droppings, so she needs to step it up or I’m calling the vet.

Hope all goes well with Scorpius.

          Lacking mayonnaise – and thumbs

Yes, you need to get fluids into her – you could try syringing some tho’ it takes forever to get enough – she may need sub-cu.

And DEBG, good luck with Scorpius.

Good idea, and indeed I did give her two syringes of water last night. Today, she’s been eating and drinking normally. I’m very relieved, but I still need some evidence that she’s pooping normally.
