Chilling Effect

Here on the ice planet of Frozinia, our scientists have labored hard to dispel the many myths cherished by our ancient ancestors. For example, did you know that people once believed that our world rotated because it was being licked by an enormous cosmic space cat? Who would believe such nonsense?

Via Reddit: “My cat loves ice but always pushes the cubes out of the bowl onto the floor. This was the solution.”

I am as curious as a cat to see the solution. What is the answer when the video is a black space that says, “Download File”?
    Fun cat story. 🙂
My dog begs for ice, takes it, then leaves it in the carpet to melt.

I got the same “download file” thing on Internet Explorer, but it worked in Chrome.

I won’t spoil it but it’s very cute.

Also, sensing a theme here today. A rather cold theme.

I got the same message using Safari, but it works when I click the Reddit link. Cute and clever!

        Hmmm. Curiouser and curiouser.
On my phone, trying to click the reddit link, it looks like it is trying to highlight the video box.
Must resist clicking 20 more times expecting a different outcome. 😉

You never know with the internet. My dad set up my new router last Friday and since then my tablet wouldn’t connect to my wifi (it connects to a hotspot somewhere in the vicinity of my house, though, so at least I can do things that don’t require any real security). There are two different connections I can use, and I tried them both with the password (which he told me was the same as it was before), in both all lower case (which is how I had it recorded) and with initial caps, and neither worked. I finally sent him a message last night saying it wasn’t working, he told me to use initial caps, and it worked. (I guess it’s like when you take your car to the mechanic and it stops making that noise you heard.)

I’ve seen a lot of video of cats licking ice so last week it was very hot here and I thought I would try it for my cats so I put a big block of ice in the water bowl.

A few minutes later I walked into the kitchen to see my cat Boo absolutely freaking out, scared out of his little cat mind in front of the water bowl.
    Cat = ??? Me = ??

Was it the reflection of the ice in the water or the faint crackling sound as it melted? Who knows? Anyway it’s back to plain old water for the kitties.

Thanks Mike and EdmundH! That loads/plays better than the Reddit link for me.

Cat tongue rotating the rock we live on… Some artistic inspiration there.

Does this mean the Big Bang was just a cat breaking out of a cosmic cardboard box?

Once when it was hot, mind you we have whole house air so it wasn’t hot in the house, I put ice in the dog’s water. I went back in the kitchen later and they had fished all the ice out and left it on the floor to melt. I guess I shouldn’t have taught them to bob for hot dogs.

Random thought, if Kitty were in the other hemisphere, would the ice rotate the other way?

[I know, I know, SIMPSONS DID IT]
