Of all the monsters in Greek lore, the twenty-seventh most deadly and mysterious was Medusa’s dog, Fred. According to legend, all who looked into Fred’s horrific face were turned into trees, which Fred would then use as Nature required. Eventually, Fred was slain by the heroic cat Pussius.
What a hiss-terical photo, Sharon H.
Dog looks resigned to his fate.
Yes he has a bit of the resigned look. But also partly proud that he’s pleasing his master.
“Pussius” π
I would like to get a male cat just so I could name him Pussius. Also I love Fred’s calm and resolute expression.
Pussius in Boots.
This literally made me LOL!! π Of course his name is Fred. And, Pussius? Snort!
That was one hell of a scrolldown, lol.
I can’t imagine seeing that hat and not thinking “yep that’s going on the dog.”
Hat? What hat?
I had the same reaction. Though of course I’d be thinking “yep that’s going on the cat.”
I think Fred looks a bit non-plussed and a shade haughty that one might find any humor in his headgear.
(still having to fill in info – anybody else?)
I still have to fill the info too. I tried clearing all my history and all the cookies but it still doesn’t work with Safari on my Mac. Doesn’t work on my iPad either.
Hey! No more edit comments either!
I apologize for that. The comment editing system has stopped working since the move to the new host. I am looking for a fix or an alternate editing system.
Iβm still filling in all the info too.
The site should remember info; it’s been working for me during testing. However, individual users may have different results based on their settings. Try the tips in this post:
It’s all geek to me.
π
This Fred reminds me of my Phred ( who loved
the Phillies). Same patient look. He would go
along with anything I wanted of him. Still miss
him. π’ And…I still have to fill everything in, too.
5 people got turned into trees
Worth it…
