Cats have nicer furniture than I do…

Ok, somebody here is smart enough to tell me what type of entity a golden puppy retriever would summon. Anyone? Casper the ghost with flowers and cupcakes? Anyone?
Mike, have you heard from the vet this morning yet?

        😄👍

I knew you would come through for us Booby. 😀

They’re giving out our Thanksgiving pies at work today. If it was delivered by a Golden Retriever puppy that would make me very happy.

        • fkaWaldenPond November 26, 2019 / 12:01 pm

Mmmm, what flavours are the pies?

Apple. We used to get to choose (apple, pumpkin, coconut cream, or pecan) and they were ready to eat. Then several years ago they started just doing apple (I assume because they didn’t want to have to keep track of who ordered what). Then the last two or three years they came frozen (with baking instructions). It’s more work for me but at least my house smells nice. (Is it bad that I’m not entirely sure the last time I used my oven wasn’t for last year’s pie?)

        Well done!

I do love how there are so many stories of cats just adopting people! Open window? Must need a cat!😄

And here I’ve always been so careful to keep my windows closed. No wonder I don’t have a cat. Duh.

I tried it. Just to see what would happen.
      Suddenly, squirrel!

It could have been worse. Suddenly, burglar!

        • Duckie 🐥 November 26, 2019 / 12:45 pm

I did it while I was eating breakfast.

            Too funny Duckie!

When I was in grad school, there were signs around the department warning people not to leave their windows open, as pigeons would enter and “mess up” their offices.

I had suddenly, armadillo! I had to chase it out the door, and it was very unwilling I think it wanted to sample the dog food. About gave me a heart attack!

Who knew seals were such pranksters? Adorable surprise!

Love love love the kitties and doggies today. That cat-sized furniture–do you think the cats would scratch their own couch, and leave mine alone, if I got one? PS that page linked to cardboard cat houses that are famous landmarks. I may have to spring for a Sphinx of Giza.

I don’t mean to be critical, especially since (based on comments to another post) NTMTOM is having a hard day, but he must have only watched the polar bear clip, not listened. “Mama bear and cub just want a nap”?? No, mama bear is waiting by an air hole to show her cubs how to kill a seal so they can eat it. The ONLY thing that makes this a cute clip is that the seal came up in a different hole where ONLY a cub was waiting. (Gotta wonder — was the ice thin enough the seal could see the “shadow” of the adult bear by the other hole? Was the choice not luck?) Yes, startled cub falling over backwards is cute, but “nap” had nothing to do with it.

Thank you for pointing this out. I confess I set up a week’s worth of links posts quickly so that I could focus on other things, and gave the video a very quick look.

      • Michael November 27, 2019 / 9:24 pm

You’re welcome. I didn’t mean it critically, and I hope neither you nor Andrew experienced it that way. The bears do LOOK like they’re napping (it makes sense that “waiting patiently in sub-zero winds” and “napping” look alike). The narration just kind of startled me. I’m also surprised there were two air holes that close together, and that the mama bear let her cub wander all the way over to the other one. It was like a trap for cute-animal-ologists.

That’d be more on me than Mike for sending the video in in the first place…sigh

    • Andrew November 27, 2019 / 8:08 am

I may not comment on the site often, but I do read the comments most of the time. Does make me sad when something I sent in upsets people, or (not in this case specifically) gets downvoted. It’s never my intention to upset people.

      • Emsthemonster November 27, 2019 / 8:24 am

I (and I think many other Cutetropolitans) appreciate that you send in a lot of cuteness and I can deal with the 0,001% upsetting content that somehow evades your attention. I know it is not intended.

      • Not That Mike The Other Mike November 27, 2019 / 8:47 am

That’s OK. If I recall, you submitted this as an animated GIF (without sound), and I tracked down the longer video on my own.

I adore that kitty adopting those teeny babies. So Squee!!!!
