In the previous episode, Simon set aside his hobby of building easily-smashed model ships to welcome a kitten into his life. Now the bundle of joy takes his first steps in Simon’s home, and Simon takes his first missteps as a pet parent. (via Lois M.)
Simon’s first misstep was getting a cat…
But how can you resist that little bundle of fur that purrs and looks at you with those adoring eyes!! I’m putty in their little paws. 🙂 You forgive all their little ‘quirks’ and just say, AWWWW!!!! When they grow up and don’t do some of those things any longer, you get another kitten to see them all over again. Thanks, Mike, for showing this video today (my 83rd birthday). I love sending videos of Simon and his kitties to Cutetropolis.
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday and thanks for sending all the Simon’s Cat!

Happy Birthday Lois!
Happy Birthday!! Enjoy your day.
Happy Birthday Lois!
Happy birthday!
Thanks, everyone!! Each of these birthdays becomes more special as I know I probably won’t have too many more of them. My husband passed away last year on 7/18 at age 84 so I live alone now. I live in a senior retirement complex in AZ in the independent living section so that’s a plus also!! My son and daughter-in-law are coming over later today. I have some groceries to get today that I like that the complex doesn’t supply and we’re going to have pizza for dinner. Get it once in a while here but not like what I’m used to so it will be great to have my Pizza Hut thin crust again!! Our building is set up for distancing of 6 feet apart and we still have no visitors allowed except medical personnel. But we can visit with our family outside with the chairs fastened 6 feet apart so we’ll celebrate my birthday out there. Masks are required when we leave our apartments.
Happy Birthday Lois! I’m going to be 69 in January. I’ll feel blessed to make it to your age! Most of my family live into their 80s. Good for you.
Faye, thank you. Got to leave the senior living center for a short trek in the grocery store, then came back and the ‘kids’ had gotten Pizza Hut pizza per my request. We sat in the shade outside and enjoyed our visit. We still have NO visitors allowed unless they’re medical people. In all my years, this is the first quarantine illness I’ve had to deal with. So far NO servers (we get 3 meals a day) or any staff (and there’s lots of them) have come down with this terrible COVID-19. We feel very fortunate as some businesses like we live in have had staff and residents come down with it. The outside chairs are chained to the concrete so they HAVE to meet the 6 feet apart criteria and can’t be moved. The dining rooms have new tables that are spaced 6 feet apart and each resident is given which dining room they’re to go to and at what time. I prefer my meals in my apartment so I have to call down to our reception desk and tell them to deliver mine. I was just told that there are 40 residents who want their meals delivered. We have 159 apartments. I know there are quite a few people who have left the facility and go shopping and who knows where else so that’s why I don’t want to be anywhere near them. We have to wear masks when we leave our apartments but when you’re eating, of course, you can’t wear one. Just one cough or sneeze then it could shower an area with the virus. Safer in my apartment for sure.
My mom was 88 when she passed and my dad was 2 months shy of 91 so I’ve evidently got some good ‘genes’ working in me. So going by their ages, I’ve still got a few more years in me.
Lois, I’ve been inside my house since March 17. I was sick in beginning of February with every Covid symptom but I could breathe. My doctor is convinced I had it. I’ve never been so sick in my entire life. Took me two months plus to get well. I’ve heard you can catch it more than once !
Stay separate. It only takes one exposure.
I’m glad you enjoyed your visit and your pizza!
Faye, how come your doctor didn’t have you tested for COVD-19 so you’d know for sure that’s what you had? Or he was just going on symptoms but it could have been something else. I’d want to know for sure. I’d want to see the results in black & white so I’d know. But I don’t think all doctors are treating health issues the same with this situation. Glad you’re better now.
