It’s the first day of Nosevember, so let’s take an up close and personal look at the fascinating nose of the rabbit.
The nose is very important to the rabbit, because it is often guided to food by its sense of smell.
The rabbit nose is also used to show affection. A few gentle nudges of a rabbit’s nose means “hey you,” which is about as polite as rabbits get.
But as cute as a bunny nose looks in a picture, to fully appreciate its quirkiness you’ve got to see it in motion.
Boop, boop….. kiss, kiss….a great way to start Nosevember, on a Bunday. And cute buns to boot! I love being bumped by my bunneh’s nose. Some bumps are for attention and some mean, get out of a bunneh’s way. I sure hope they don’t let that little dutchie bun eat all that bannana, way too much sugar overload.
Xylophone time!! Brooop brooop boop. I agree perfect start to the month. It’s all noses, all the time. The 2 bun buns snuggling is so sweet.
Live Streamed Bunny Nose!
I guess bananas are so exciting he can’t even get up on his feet before monching.
…Reminds me…I have three bananas. No buns to share ’em with, tho 🙁
That bun with the banana is channeling my bun Theo!😂
oooo cut shnozzies! The under-the-chin-shot is amazing. I didn’t realize bunnies could close their noses.
Folks, if you could spare a thought for my Swee’Pea today, we got to spend our extra hour rushing to the emergency room because he showed all the signs of being blocked: scratching the litter box, trying to pee outside it, squatting unsuccessfully on plastic bags, and plenty of howling. 🙁 He’s there now, and we’re here at home waiting for an update.
Sending out healing wishes for a quick recovery!
Hope Swee’Pea isn’t too sick and gets to feeling better soon.
I very much hope he’ll be OK. I have my fingers and toes crossed. Poor little guy.
Sending big hugs and crossing all our paws here.
Healing wishes and puppy kisses coming your way!
Update: Thank you for thinking of my Swee’Pea! I heard from the Dr. and she said he is catheterized and doing fine. They will monitor him until tomorrow evening to be sure he is responding well and that bloodwork is fine. Fingers crossed I can bring him home very soon.
Great news
Poor baby, that has to be painful. Glad he’s doing better, though.
Tara, Little Duckie sends you a double wing hug.
Love this start to Nosevember!
