From out of the shadows, a hooded figure stepped into the forest clearing and approached the gathering. “Stand and identify yourself!” demanded the High Priest as the acolytes reached for their swords. “Be at peace, brothers,” said the stranger, “for like you, I bear the mark.” And with that, he held forth his hand to reveal the ancient symbol of The Loyal Order of the Teddy Bear. “Then we are all assembled,” said the High Priest. “At last, the picnic can begin.”

Eep! How cute!
Teddy Bear’s Picnic always puts Tim Minchin’s “Bears Don’t Dig On Dancing” in my head (if you look it up, just be aware, it’s not safe for work, children, or sensitive souls).
“Today’s the day the bears are having a rave!”
I had not known about this before and just spent over 9 minutes laughing hysterically. Thank you.
He’s hilarious but he’s not for everyone. (There’s a reason I didn’t link the video.)
There are two videos I’ve seen where he prefaces the song with “If you’re a religious person, you miiiight want to pop out for about five minutes” on one and “if you’re one of those people who finds the sort of, um, bashing of religion and stuff tiresome or offensive…just give me five more minutes” on the other. (Let’s just say I won’t play most of his stuff with my mom in the car. 😄)
Then of course there’s the language…(I’ve always thought Bears Don’t Dig on Dancing could be a great kids’ song if he cleaned it up).
But he also did Matilda the Musical (he’s the reason I wanted to see it), so he’s not all skepticism and swearing.
Kind of looks like a cute little Yeti to me.
Almost unbearably cute!
I want a toebean like that! Where can I get one?
New kind of tattoo?
Excellent new year scrolldown!
