I would happily spend time with any of the Japanese inn cats. Reason number gazillion that I have Japan on my bucket list of trips to take. Wow, Frenchies can Huskies a run for their money on sassy back talk. Image one of each talking to each other??!! I have a few choice words for Valka’s “family” and none of them good. Thank heavens for the neighbors and the rescue group and that she and the kittens have found a safe spot.
I could never leave my cat behind, even if an evacuation. I’d be that lady sleeping in her car outside the shelter.

Cool about the reintroduction of beavers to their habitat. Will help immensely with other animals setting up homes!
I, too, am disgusted with how many people leave their animals behind when they move. Has to be because of desperation, or just being worthless jerks. DON’T get pets unless you Know you will be able to care for them their entire lives!
Beaver reintroduction is really cool. I love the stories about beavers and farmers coexisting to manage flooding.
