What a beautiful kitty!
We are supposed to have freezing rain this weekend I hope it won’t be too bad so we don’t lose electricity for 16 hours like we did with Monday’s snow storm!
That’s pretty much it for me because I’m still sick with Covid, coughing, runny nose and headache, etc so I haven’t been anywhere and I haven’t done anything.
Hope everyone is healthy and has a great weekend.
Hope you feel better soon Georgiana! Iโm sure the electricity outage didnโt help your health. Fingers crossed it wonโt happen again. Sending healthy hugs.
Get well soon!
Hope you’re feeling better soon…
Sorry you’re still under the weather, and then experiencing bad weather. We’re sending healing purrs and big hugs.
Good Morning, kitty looks so silky smooth.
Lots to do today – bills, purchases, and open enrollment. Our work decided to push our open enrollment up a month so we might be able to avoid what ever sticker shock is coming for our health insurance in January. Problem is, I just went to the doctor got new prescriptions and at home tests and Iโm not sure if I should wait or not. I also need to scramble to get eye test because the new company doesnโt cover glasses – just the exam. Now I ask you, what good is that? sheesh. Still need to get bulbs into the ground, good friend from out of town is in town for a wedding and I hope to catch up with her, and then tomorrow is Stitch & Bitch.
In the meantime, Iโm staying in bed for another hour because Jacques is very comfy on my lap and Butch is snuggling my feet. It the best way to start a weekend.
Cats snuggling is the best reason to stay in bed!
What insurance companies will and won’t cover is mind-boggling. Almost every health insurance plan I’ve had (different companies) has only covered $200 for glasses. The cost of everything keeps going up, but over 30 years they’ve never increased the amount of coverage for glasses. It’s crazy!
While looking around for private plans recently (because my health insurance coverage is about to expire) I noticed that the current plans only cover Dental checkup every 9 months now. My previous plan was every 6 months. The dentist always wanted me to come in every 4 months, but that wasn’t covered. Now they are only covering a checkup every 9 months?
Staying in bed and not worrying about all that stuff definitely sounds like the best approach.
I did sleep in a bit! Sadly, no pretty gray kitty to join me.
The dogs were good again this week. After hearing #10 I am choosing to believe someone cleaned my windows, so that saves me a chore for the weekend. Also I would like a Frankie alarm clock for Christmas, please. Nacho’s foster figuring out that he understands Spanish is the best.
Also, Carl.
From the WeRateDogs Daily Email today:
WeRateDogs turns 10 years old today!
A very silly idea to numerically objectify dogs has become one of the kindest and most powerful online communities ever. We have laughed together, cried together, and saved thousands of dogs together. Thank you to everyone who has joined us over the last decade. Here’s to many more good dogs โค๏ธ
I hoped River and Oakley would make it into this week’s video! Love those two.
I love grey kitties, and this one looks so cozy. I love Carl too, he looks like I felt waking up this morning. Georgiana I hope you feel better and the weather isn’t too bad.
I sorta have plans but it may all be nothing depending on what the weather does. We’re supposed to have heavy rain all weekend. We had some this morning already but it’s stopped for the moment. Lego club is this afternoon but that might get cancelled. So this might be a weekend just puttering around the house, organizing, and working my on new painting projects. Also, if we get a little stir crazy, might go to one of the indoor malls. One thing I definitely need to do is go to my local ice cream shop for a pint of their sweet potato pie ice cream. Had a scoop last night, and I think I found the perfect ice cream. This stuff was soooo good! Sweet potato was mixed into vanilla ice cream along with pecans, and marshmallows, and those wonderful fall spices. Went to get a pint last night and after I paid was told oops sorry just ran out. Noooooooo! They had like one scoop left so got that along with a pint of apple caramel crunch. Fingers crossed they make a batch today. Stay dry everyone!
I remember the January rains in SoCal but not November ones! Good luck on your ice cream hunt.
I’m not crying! ๐ญ
๐
Well, I’m crying! It started with Miri and Hana, and now I’m in full flood.
I need the Cute today.
Dad is home, increased meds, no internal damage, stitches and a Holter monitor. He is as unimpressed as a person can be and still be alive. Mom is finally talking about downsizing in the new year.
Car is in for repairs, as we need a new fuel pump. Hubby is not happy.
Iโm apparently being kidnapped by my BFF to visit a place called Potters Christmas store. She says I need a break, and have no say in the matter.
I truly wish I could curl up in bed with a cat or two for the day. Or the weekend.
Try and have a good weekend, everyone.
{{{hugs}}}
Our best to you all, especially your dad. My cats would totally curl up with you, if you were in the right place on the bed. And didn’t move. They’re skittish.
Potters Christmas Store?
I hope NOT as in Potter, and Pottersville, in It’s a Wonderful Life. That would be sad. And you DO need a pleasant break.
Best of luck with your folks. It’s a lot to take on.
Happy Caturday! It’s never too early to go back to bed! Especially with a beautiful grey kitty to cuddle!
I will have an exciting day waiting for the battery on my new iPhone to run out. I interrupted the ios update and it’s locked in this endless restarting loop. Just hoping I can get it all working without a trip to the nearest Apple store, which is 58 miles away.
If all goes well, I’ll finish the new scarf on my loom today, then I can warp for the next project. Fat yarns work up so fast! I’m absurdly eager to finish my current audiobook because Phillip Pullman’s new book just came out, and I still haven’t listened to Harry Potter full cast recording. The sneak peek I got for HP was quite good.
Hugs to you all.
Studying hard for my Sommelier exam on Wednesday! Nikolai Devinovich did his best to sit on my workbook, and Ekaterina Velikaya complained loudly about the inferior kibble (which she loved yesterday.) Hubby leaves for a work trip very early in the morning so the cats have benevolently left him alone to pack and organize. Wish me luck!
Best of luck!
You’ll do great and cheers!
Thanks to my terrible cough I was very uneasy about going to see London City Ballet at my local theatre last night – I fully expected to have to leave the auditorium at least once during the show. Much to my surprise I made it through the evening without coughing once, and today I’m almost back to normal!
That’s great! Hope you enjoyed the show.
