Thanks, anonymous feline, I came as I am. I’ve reached an age when I no longer care about taking delivery of a package whilst in my night attire and with my hair all over the place.
I’ve also reached an age when I can Google reviews of the RSC’s marionette version of “Venus and Adonis”, find one that seems oddly familiar, and then realise that I WROTE IT for the British Theatre Guide in 2004!
Although I swore that I’d never redecorate the Shortcakery I’m in the process of painting the dining room. I’ve never been happy with a colour called “Stone” that looks more pink than brown, but the new “Copper Blush” is much better. Mercifully it’s a small room as I’m not happy up ladders…
I may have mentioned that I hope combine my proposed visit to the British Museum’s Bayeaux Tapestry exhibition with a theatre trip and make it into a three-night stay. The Royal Opera House has just announced it’s autumn season and it should be possible to see Wagner’s “Parsifal”, assuming ticket prices aren’t too outrageous. The last time I saw this opera was at the same venue back in the 90s.
Well I don’t know if kitty is being reasonable or unreasonable but it’s okay, I’ll go use the sink in the other bathroom.
Got a busy weekend planned so I’m enjoying the peace and quiet right now. Bloodwork followed by breakfast. Then off to drop a book at the library, and send my grand-niece her graduation present. I found my mom’s pearls and since I’m not wearing them decided to pass them down to the next generation. Later this afternoon is my Lego club meeting. Tomorrow is lunch with a former boss of mine and sometime in all this I need to do laundry, meal plan, and go get groceries. Whew. And I need to start getting organized and packing for my cruise up the West Coast. Two weeks and counting!

I have a long weekend. Yesterday was my usual once-a-month Friday off and then I added two PTO days for Monday and Tuesday just because.
Today is my parents’ 56th anniversary. (Also Pablo’s birthday…he would have been 26 if Chihuahuas lived that long.)
