Good Morning!
Where is everyone? Jacques and I have already been to the vet and back. Pretty sure his thyroid is really out of whack. He’s been acting like he’s starving for the last two weeks. I gave him an entire jar of baby food on Thursday and he could have eaten another one. So we wait for the blood tests etc. to come back. In the meantime, I need to go to PetSmart and a big box store to get provisions.
I met with an arborist yesterday to see what’s what with my trees. Two of them sustained damaged limbs probably with the February deep freeze. And then there are other things. Waiting for the quote. Living is expensive.

It’s been an uneventful week at the Shortcakery, and I’ve whiled away the time by doing a “World of King Arthur” jigsaw puzzle. When I reached the end I was annoyed to discover that the Questing Beast’s tail was missing, but after an exhaustive search I found it stuck to my right sock…

I found a missing machinegun for a model tank I was building in my bed once. I don’t know if I’d spent the evening with a wee Browning M2 in my chest hair or what.

I am with today’s kitty (who, unlike me, is gorgeous) and slept in.
The dogs were good..
(If #6’s Wynn looks familiar it’s because we saw her back in the winter when the neighbor kid came to ask if she could come out to play in the snow.)

Happy Caturday, everyone! Napping seems like a good response to this past week.
I’m off to lunch with a friend soon. Could have spent the morning weaving, cleaning the condo, and generally being productive. But no. I’m sitting at the computer reading stuff and watching videos. It’s a lazy day. I’ll do stuff when I get back.

Not napping just feeling very depressed, I lost a dear friend yesterday. I’ve lost parents and older relatives before but it’s the first time I lose someone my age.
Also it was sudden, she got an infection about a month ago and developed sepsis, the doctors tried everything but they couldn’t save her.
