    I know they are not being harmed but I question the necessity of bathing cats because they are self cleaning.

      Sometimes when they get older it gets hard for them, so it’s not a bad idea to get them used to it when they’re young. Or in case they get into something messy and need it washed off. If they at least know what a bath is maybe they won’t freak out so much.

        Exactly. Girl with the Dogs makes a point of talking about that when she grooms cats.
