Is there any better sight on a Caturday morning than a well-tousled kitten belleh? Give our friend here a hearty rub and then talk amongst yourselves.

Happy Caturday!
These are the little goobers I am babysitting. And no, they did not want to go out (it was pouring rain at the time; they eventually had to suck it up and get wet because they’d been home alone for about 12 hours at that point). The black-and-tan is Max and the blond is Ollie.
😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰 They are beyond adorable!!! I had a dog that would go almost 24 hours without peeing during thunderstorms in FL. They can be stubborn lil cusses sometimes.
Max went about a foot out the door (onto the covered deck) then turned around and came right back in. Ollie just stood in the kitchen and stared at me. They have pee pads but apparently only Ollie will use them (which he did after a bit). When the rain let up a little I got them both out.
Aww! Enjoy them, they look very sweet!
I understand I don’t like to go out in the rain either.
What a pair of cuties! Thank you for sharing them with us.
So CUTE!
A day in the life of Javier, CEO of WeRateDogs.
Who are you calling ridiculous? Also, maybe grab a tissue.
Yep, tissues needed for this episode. Be warned about the honorable mention, and #1. But some of them are pretty darn funny so it balances out. Plus a day in the life of Javier is hysterical, I swear in my next life I want to come back as a pampered dog or cat.
He’s not sleeping on the job, he’s brainstorming.
Good to know that looking disheveled is a sign of good dreams. Now I have an excuse … *sigh* Who am I kidding?
You guys were not kidding about the hankies.
And Javier hit the jackpot with his family.
I’m wearing the same shirt Matt has on in the video!
With the big stick? I was thinking of getting the sticker.
Oooh look at that belly! So soft, so skritchable, so huffable. But that face says, yeah, try it. Wonder if it’s a trap, hmmm?
Well, after a couple months of summer where the weather was tolerable, Mother Nature has decided to crank up the temperature knob to sizzling. I’m looking at a week of temps in the 90s and humid. Guess the a/c is going on so the house doesn’t become an oven. I usually hate putting the a/c on when no one is home but it’s more efficient to keep it at a cool temp when you start cool then try to bring a 87 degree house down to 78 degrees. So not much happening this weekend. Vitamin shots this morning, and maybe some thrift store shopping. Tomorrow is a craft workshop at the museum, and we’re making copper bowls. I’ll be happy if mine has any resemblance to a circle, lol. Somewhere in there, I got to figure about meals for next week, and do grocery shopping. Then I think majority of my time will be in the pool. Have a good weekend all!!
After the heavy rain the other day it’s been nice. Yesterday was in the low 80s and sunny, and right now it’s 70 and cloudy (more rain coming this weekend, probably). Today’s forecast high is 78.
Good morning everyone.
A little while ago we bought a heated cat house and put it next to the stairs in the backyard for this winter at the moment it’s not plugged in of course.
One of the strays we feed adopted it and sleeps in it often, he is a big orange tom cat that I call Big Boy he was featured on photos posted here before. He is very tame not scared at all and isn’t aggressive at all with the other strays so I’m thinking maybe making him an inside cat when the weather turns cold.
Well my husband wasn’t crazy about the idea but yesterday when he went and sat outside he wiggled his fingers at Big Boy and the cat came right up to him and let himself be petted and did the rubbing thing on my husband’s legs .
So what do you think? I think I might just win this 😉
Big Boy knows how to win an argument. You just have to sit back and let him do his thing.
I second! 🥰
For that belly floof, I’d risk it.
It has just started raining here, with a few thunder booms.
Have started thinking about another budgie.
Lots of possibilities in hubby’s work situation; I just wish the company would make up its collective mind. Assuming it has one.
Have a good weekend, everyone.
Can’t resist that belleh. I’d risk mutilation.
George hasn’t put on any more weight this week, but he hasn’t lost any. He’s still eating 6 cans a day–it’s like living with a tiger.
I’m off for a hair cut (that I don’t really need but whatever) and errands. It’s another quiet weekend finishing up some craft projects and starting new ones. I just hung 18 ounces of newly handspun yarn to dry, and it’s gorgeous! The blanket I wove for friends should arrive today.
Hugs to you all.
FINALLY – we’ve had some rain in England and temperatures have dropped so dramatically I woke up this morning feeling a bit chilly! Tomorrow I’m hoping to use my Free Bus Pass Superpower to visit the market town of Pateley Bridge, where my maternal ancestors lived in the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries. Apparently some of their gravestones are still visible in the local churchyard.
Some more doggie pics
It was nice out so I sat on the deck with my tea while they ran around for a bit.
Last one (well, two).
Gosh, they’re sweet. Thanks for sharing all the pix!
Max was definitely the more cuddly of the two. Ollie was snoozing on the other end of the couch (they have a big U-shaped couch so he was actually across the room from me) when I took these pics. I fed them again before I left around 6, and my friend’s sister was getting back an hour or two later.
