Doxie side-eye is epic.
Such sweeties!! My last pair of dogs were total opposites. Male dog (Thor), I could lay him on his back like a baby and he’d act as if it was no big deal. Sometimes he would even fall asleep! The female (Valkyrie), oh dear lord, it was as if I was dipping her paw in acid! My drama queen suddenly became a mini T-Rex with no arms.
Pablo hated having his nails done. He would squirm so much and I made him bleed a couple times; I felt so bad. I started taking him to PetCo and letting the groomer do it. I would hold him upright in the air, which would make him stay still, and they would clip real quick. Totally worth ten bucks. Then we would get a bag of mixed treats from the treat bar and go home.
Not my household.
Took my 7 lb cat to get her nails cut and the staff member came back after sixteen minutes to tell me that no, we weren’t doing that today.
She wasn’t bleeding but apparently things happened in the back room.
