They say that cheaters never prosper, but these cheetahs need to prosper, because they’re the most endangered big cat species on Earth. That’s why December 4 is International Cheetah Day, and why the Cincinnati Zoo shared these cute cheetah cubs playing to win.

What a wonderful job.
I know!💙
I could hold one cub while the keeper feeds the other.
Cheetahs are just exceptional cats! I love how you can really see that back/head brush-like fur when they are cubs. They are like punk rockers😁
Cheetahs are so different from the other big cats: they are the fastest in the world; they don’t roar they PURR and chirp; they need little water and can go without up to 4 days; they are the only mammal that can TURN in the air while sprinting😳; they can run up to 60 mph; in ancient times they were trained as hunters. Unfortunately they are also a rapidly decreasing mammal, and cubs have a very high mortality rate😢
Isn’t that a Ramones song?

Oooh, well done!
What beautiful little fuzz balls. I’ve always loved the dramatic facial markings on cheetahs. Seeing one run (on video, of course) is a thing of beauty.
Feisty little fur balls!
