My husband works as a contractor for the military and even he was sent a blank resignation letter to fill in. He said they just sent it to everyone at the base. I just don’t understand how and why things are happening. It’s like the inmates are running the asylum. But I’m so glad for this page to take my mind off things. And I’ll also be happy to have beavers to take over the government, sounds like they’re more efficient.

How did beavers get to the Czech Republic? I thought they were a north american critter only–the European craze for beaver hats greatly reduced their numbers.
I do applaud their energy and environmental consciousness, however!
There is a Eurasian beaver; looks similar to the American beaver but is not genetically compatible. (So says wikipedia.)

Dad seems to be doing ok. Went for an unnecessary drive this morning.
I’m relieved he finally went to the hospital with one of these nosebleeds. He hasn’t been keeping his doctor updated on how things are going, but now the doctor will receive an official report, and will hopefully give him what for.
All they did yesterday was to freeze the offending vein, but they’re worried it might be something deeper inside. If it is, I know he will refuse surgical treatment. Parents!
I know I’m probably the only one who visits this website who feels this way and I know there will be negative responses but I have nothing to lose. I enjoy reading about your dear pets, hobbies, your humor, life events, the good and not so good things that happen. But political issues/comments keep getting involved. I’m not siding for any side, I just was hoping for a political free environment. I want to enjoy the cute and funny things animals and our pets bring into our lives. All of us on here are animal lovers and I was hoping to enjoy that “common” theme. So carry on, I’m not angry, just disappointed. Perhaps it’s time for me to take another break.
Luv Bunny, I understand completely where you are coming from. This is supposed to be a “cute” website. However, I also understand that some people need a place where they feel safe to comment on things that are the opposite of cute. So, I propose an idea. Mike, what if you put up a daily “vent” post for those of us who desperately need to dump on things political and get some much needed support from this support group? We all need the cute, because life. But we also all need a vent with trusted ones, because life. Is this do-able? Then we have the choice to cute or to vent.
