Hi, pretty kitty! Come hang with me and I will get you some treats.

    Today chores, tomorrow work.

This is your weekly reminder to Google β€œpuppy sweaters I definitely plan on purchasing” every so often so that your targeted ads are also pictures of puppies in sweaters

The dogs were good and also proof that ice cream is good for you. πŸ¦πŸ•

I will definitely take Durham’s advice, would be so much better than some of the ads I see. The dogs, and #2’s human, were so good this week. Leonardo is my spirit animal, would love to be that relaxed. Maple and Edward, I feel the same about ice cream.

I follow him on facebook. He often shares pictures of his dogs, Jack and Dolly.

He also has two cats (and I think a bird).

I share the love of ice cream. Also that sweet little boy sobbing because his dog came home has filled my heart with happiness.

Kitty is gorgeous, always loved a smoky grey cat. And my, what big eyes you have my dear. I think someone’s been into the catnip already, lol.

Not doing much this weekend, and mostly not by choice. Our city has a marathon tomorrow downtown and in the park so streets are shut down for most of the day. And tons of people ! Plus the trolley is doing upgrades all weekend with my station being one of the one’s affected, to get anywhere I have to take a shuttle bus to one of the open stations. Transport of any kind is just going to be a nightmare, so guess I’ll stick close to home. I do have my painting class today, and probably do cleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry tomorrow. Enjoy the weekend all!

I usually don’t eat the blueberries when I’m served a bowl of fruits in a restaurant because I find them totally flavourless.

Maybe it would be different if I ate wild blueberry because I remember eating wild strawberries that grew in a field next to our house when I was a child, they were small and so sweet and they tasted a lot better than the ones we bought at the store.

    Such a pretty kitty!

Nothing much happening here, I had my annual eye exam yesterday and my vision hasn’t changed and there still no damage caused by the diabetes so that’s good!

I started a book yesterday and that’s what I’ll be doing all day today because I want to finish it so I can start another one I just bought πŸ“– LOL!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I just finished the latest book in the London Ladies’ Murder Club by Marty Wingate and now I’ll be starting on The Fry’s Chronicles Stephen Fry’s autobiography.

    Why the hate for blueberries?

    • allein 🐾 May 30, 2026 / 11:08 am

I love blueberries but every so often you get a really sour one.

      • Duckie πŸ₯ May 30, 2026 / 11:37 am

        But those are the best!

        • Debg May 30, 2026 / 12:07 pm

Agreed. I love tart/sour fruits and usually go for the underripe ones because the ripe ones are too sweet.

I too have a long list of books waiting to be read, some of my own and some from the library. I don’t read much fiction these days but I’ve just finished and thoroughly enjoyed Alan Moore’s “The Great When”.

I’m counting the days (18) until my short stay in Stratford-upon-Avon to see “The Tempest”, which if the production photos I’ve seen are anything to go by should be visually stunning. The last Prospero I saw was Simon Russell Beale, who coincidentally will be narrating the marionette version of “Venus and Adonis” I’ve booked for at the end of June at my local theatre.

Here in England we’re enjoying (?) a heat wave. Last Tuesday I took advantage of my free bus pass to spend a day in Whitby, but due to the tide being at its highest point I had to do without my usual sedate paddle!

Love a smoky grey kitty! This is a particularly handsome specimen.

My short work week was especially hairy because we had a big deadline at work. We managed the website update on Thursday, right on schedule, then spent much of Friday tinkering with little fixes. I’m still carrying a lot of tension in my body. So it’s a quiet, relaxing weekend for me!

    Hugs to you all.

Special request: if anyone finds this book in a second hand store, could you please let me know? It’s the only one I need.
