I was off yesterday and all next week. I have an appointment on Tuesday but otherwise no plans. My uncle is having a triple (possibly quadruple) bypass on Monday. So keep your fingers crossed or whatever you do, please.

DebG, just caught up on George Weasley cat from yesterday. I hope for the best for you and him. Sending more warm fuzzies.
We finished righting my shed on Wednesday. It feels really stable. I’m going to work on finishing touches such as nailing down the paneling and trying to block holes the critters have yanked in. Then hopefully clean up the yard and put everything back where it belongs. What a production!
So far I’ve picked almost 3lbs of raspberries from my thicket. I’m going to don long pants and sleeves to really get into it today. I will make jam and infused vinegar. Yum yum! I’m quite spoiled with them.

Off to the park this week for their summer Pottery Sale put on by the local Potters Guild. I’m on the hunt for a lidded tea mug. I had the perfect one but I broke the lid this week so time for a replacement. Aside from the usual necessary chores, heading out to the movies tomorrow. Going to see Stop That Train! It’s a totally ridiculous leave your brain at the door movie but it looks hilarious. Bring on the popcorn! Enjoy the weekend everyone, and hope it’s not too hot in your locale.

I’ve had the AC on all week because it’s been unbearably hot and humid here but it’s suppose to be better next week. It will still be sunny and hot but no humidity so I plan on going on long walks.

Thanks for the good wishes for George, everyone. We had our first subcutaneous fluid session at home this morning–I think more of the fluid ended up on the floor! He did want snuggles last night and this morning, which was a wonderful thing. Fluids and gabapentin seem to have made him more comfortable.
I’m off to the Wool Market despite all this drama. Going with friends who are older than me, so we’ll probably get back early. Then more cuddles with all the kitties.

I learned an important life lesson today – if you buy a cream cake in a flimsy cardboard box DO NOT put three hefty library books on top of it in your shopping bag. The results are not pretty but still edible…
I’m looking forward to my trip to Stratford-upon-Avon next week to see “The Tempest”. It will be my third stay in a centrally located pub-with-rooms, and I’m hoping there won’t be a karaoke night like there was last year. The place is under new management so it will be interesting to see what changes have been made to this fairly basic but acceptable property.
