When Teddy first moved in I was protective of him to a fault. He’d been diagnosed with FIV and the vet lectured me how he should be an indoor cat.

But that’s not who he was at heart, so at first I let him out on a leash and harness. Later I let him roam free but would carry him home if he wandered too far.

Finally we reached an understanding. He went where he wanted, which was mainly to visit nearby neighbors and score snacks. The leash still hangs by the door, untouched all these years.
Love those shots among the lacy ferns.
Awesome shots. He looks so happy, being able to go adventuring and getting snacks from neighbors.
Surveying his domain…
I love your yard, Mike. A cat paradise.
And of course Teddy won. A cat’s gotta cat. Thank you Mike for sharing these pics, he had a great life with you.
I am loving all these pictures of Teddy! He is so gorgeous.
I’m just catching up. So glad Teddy discovered what life could be like when loved by someone like you.
He had an amazing life, and Mike was obviously easy to train!
