At the edge of a garden pond, a squirrel leans over into the water to look at a koi fish.

From the moment their eyes met she entranced him, her sparkling eyes drawing him ever closer. At the last moment he lost his nerve — and she was gone. To this day the memory haunts him. The one that got away.
