There actually was an issue of Cat Vogue, made in the 1980s, I think. Someone brought a copy in to work and it sits in our lunchroom.
Diamonique looks mahvellous.
Yes, wasn’t there also a dog version called (appropriately enough) “Dogue”?
reminds me of shinbone alley with archy the cockroach and mehitabel the cat, especially the scene where mehitabel is lamenting all her kittens. anyone know what im talking about or why im writing in all lowercase letters question mark
Oh yes! I haven’t read the actual work, but I know archy typed it out by jumping from key to key on a manual typewriter.
yes exclamation point and mel brooks co wrote a musical based on the book by don marquis unfortunately i couldnt find the animated version although im sure ive watched it online before.
Many years ago, I took the original out of my public library on LI. Haven’t seen or thought of it in the intervening time. But the book was delightful. I think it might be available online somewhere….
A favorite phrase of mine is “there’s a dance or two in the old dame yet…”

That snippet is on YouTube, Transentence (sung by the glorious Carol Channing)!
“And those pink hats with ears – quite on trend, dahling!”
“I must remember to grab one the next time I’m at Saks Fifth Avenue.”
You two! Hilarious!
snerk – !
That was terrible. 😛
Did anyone else read the hovertext in Eva Gabor’s voice??? All I could hear in my brain, LOL, was “darlinhk”
Yes, but I also thought of Emily Gilmore and her endless string of housekeepers.
It made me think of Zsa Zsa.
Oh, yes – I loved her voice for Miss Bianca (the mouse from “The Rescuers” who was very privileged but also ran missions for a sort of mouse division of Amnesty International – terrific!).
Miss Bianca was actually voiced by Zsa Zsa’s sister, Eva Gabor. She also voiced Dutchess, the mother cat in The Aristocats.
She looks just like Abby Sinian!
Arrrgh! Sheesh.
Ha!
