Today’s the day for pizza, the food of which we dream…
Just one bite, and then we’re hooked — “Give me more!” we scream…
Even when it’s cold and rubbery, devour it we must…
So have a pizza pie today, and join the upper crust!

I was thinking about getting pizza tonight…and I forgot it was National Pizza Day! Now I guess I have to.
Me, too – I’m tired of trying to figure out what to have for dinner. We had leftovers twice this week but pizza sounds good . And, by the by, this was so brilliant, Mike. I get the feeling you might have been preparing this one for a little while!? Love the first doggo looking rather Byzantine in that pizza halo. “Join the Upper Crust” ?????????
The last picture is the best! Want to pet that melty-faced love slug.
Great description, “melty-faced love slug”!!! π
Which, of course, causes melty-faces and melty-hearts in human dog lovers. π π
Fitting right in with today being National Pizza Day, pizza is one of the selections for us in the dining room of our new senior living center. Pepperoni & Sausage are perfect!! I know what I’m having for din-din tonight along with a side salad. Gotta keep it healthy!!
I have a salad in the fridge from the batch I made for work lunches earlier in the week. Yesterday the cafeteria had something decent so I decided to buy lunch, and I took today off, so I’ll eat that with pizza.
Alas trying to lose weight before the big trip so pizza is off the menu for me for a little while. But you guys fo ahead, bon appΓ©tit!
Just came back from a Neapolitan pizza lunch!
My very favorite!!! Hard to find around here, however, most pizza in the Mid-West is way too heavy. Outside of Italy, had the best Neapolitan pizza in Tokyo, Japan, of all places!!
Still craving it… π
Pizza – Food of the Gods. I heard from a reliable source that they eat pizza almost daily on Mount Olympus. ?
You’ve got to have something besides nectar and ambrosia!
That pug remind anyone else of Father Guido Sarducci’s “Find-a the Pope-a in the Pizza” sketch?
I don’t know that sketch but I LOVE him. I’m laughing out loud all by my ownsome again. I guess it’s a cross we all must bear.
Cross we must bear… ?
You know, Gladly, the cross-eyed bear.
“Iβm into fitness. Fitness whole pizza in my MOUTH!” FTW!
? I guess I’m easy – that’s hilarious.
That’s two of us, Murray C β no joke too corny for me!
Funny is funny, even when it’s corny!
?. Have become allergic to tomatoes.
Mushroom, ricotta, spinach pizza with garlic and onion?
Sounds fab. I love tomato sauce and sliced tomatoes, too – I just don’t like gobs of cheese on pizza. And I’m not a big fan of pepperoni or those kinds of meats in general. I like crumbled Italian sausage!
Eggplant and black olives – yum!
I am weird. I don’t love pizza. I don’t love spaghetti, or goulash, or pretty much anything made with red sauce. Even Ketchup. I like a good alfredo pizza, spinach from Papa Murphy’s (or John’s, whichever it is that cooks them for you), add chicken. Unfortunately, the husband hates alfredo pizza. If I order pizza. I just order it with light sauce. We usually only eat pizza at family gatherings, and they usually order an alfredo or taco pizza for me.
I’m glad to say that I celebrated in style! Not just a main-course pizza, but a cinnapie! Gotta love those dessert pizzas.
We celebrated with a small veggie pizza from the neighborhood pizza place. I wanted to see the opening ceremony of the Olympics so I didn’t want to have to cook and wash up. Hee, hee, I got out of it! But tomorrow I’ll make up for it and make something nice.
Mike – I have a question – in order to give Cutetropolis some share of what I spend on Amazon do I have to click on the icon on this page before I shop? I’m confused about how this works. If you remember, I told you I had tried to include Cutetropolis when I shopped on Amazon Smile – and you said that was possible. I’m just not exactly sure how to accomplish it.
You are correct. To make sure that I get an affiliate share, you should always begin your Amazon shopping by clicking the link in the sidebar.
If you click the Amazon Smile link, not only will I get an affiliate share of your order, but you can also select a charity that will get a portion.
Excellent – I have Best Friends chosen so that happens automatically but now I know what to do! Thanks.
