While I’m on vacation, please enjoy this repeat of a top-upvoted post. Keep sending cute links to submissions@cutetropolis.com! — Mike
The mischievous cat in her habitat, alert to methods to knock you flat
Watch out when you walk at the top of the stairs
She may lie in wait to catch you unawares
If you’re setting the table and carrying dishes
A smartly-placed tripwire will answer her wishes
When she’s not tossing obstacles into your path
She’s making you jump as you exit the bath
Her ambition in life, from her first moment natal
Is to get you in accidents, preferably fatal
What motivates all this behavior suspicious?
It’s simple but gruesome: She finds you delicious.
Gives new meaning to the phrase “dinner time”…
Mike – your posts have been on FIRE the past couple of days!!
Sad, hilarious, and true all at the same time.
Though it’s my eldest boy, Sevi, who is most likely to kill me. Though Lavender may claim the title soon–she’s a stealth tripper.
Bwaaaa haa haa! And after that I’ll TAKE OVER THE WORLD! What’s not to love about this post??? Aside from the fact you can’t enjoy it in the afterworld.
PS that photo is simply delightful. You can see the wheels turning in kitty’s brain. Wonder who’s holding the other end of that tripwire?! The dog? Or another cat?
Mine hasn’t learned to use trip wire yet but being a black cat Storm is a master of melting in the shadows and tripping you when you lest expect it.
I had forgotten that Mike used to write such fantastic poems. I love this one!
Love it love it love it 😻😁😸
that explains so much about cats…
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Who is this kitty? His face is delightful, though the outcome for mom or dad maybe frightful!
Sorry, Mike. I had to go there.
