Yes, both were wonderful. Those people were so brave and selfless.

I think I am on track to be a viscacha in my next life…
It’s always weird to realize how long an owl’s legs actually are..
Note to self; go to MA and get some lottery tickets.

yes yes and yes
The owl’s eager run to the camera made me so happy.

I’m a 100% viscacha especially in the morning!

I think I just found my spirit animal

Me too. They look like a cross between a rabbit and a chinchilla. That bebeh is sooo adorable.

I was so much a viscacha this morning. Still haven’t gotten the brain in gear yet. Plus being a cold, rainy day here in SoCal is not helping. Fuzzy pantalones!! Th owl running just perfect and his look at the end – yes, you rang??
Also, just saw that the escaped Scottish monkey is back home.

That’s good news. Escaped wild animals, far out of their natural habitats, are in danger and potentially dangerous themselves.

WARNING: NUFFING AHEAD
As cute as mini-pigs are, I feel the same way about their breeders that I do about breeders of pugs, Frenchies, and other brachycephalic dogs (and brachycephalic cats for that matter). It’s fundamentally unethical.
*sigh*

I agree. Add munchkin cats to the list.

and smashed faced dog breeds that have been bred down so that they’re not biologically feasible.
looking at you bulldog breeders
Ricky & Bibi's MomFebruary 1, 2024 / 5:44 pm
Yup, several larger bulldog breeds are brachycephalic (smushy-faced). So unnecessary, so pointless, so cruel. And don’t get me started on tea-cup breeds.
Ah, well, let us return to Teh Qte. It’s nicer there.

My bigger problem is that they can’t breed or whelp without human intervention/surgery.
Or at least safely.
Ricky & Bibi's MomFebruary 1, 2024 / 8:13 pm
That’s a huge, huge problem. And I think it’s just as bad that they tend to have terrible breathing problems. And I’ve lost count of the number of videos I’ve seen of Frenchies born with cleft palates. These poor animals pay a terrible price for the human desire for “cuteness” no matter the cost. Feh.
