Although many cats live in colonies, the extremely rare South American Catbee (felix stingus) builds elaborate hives for housing and protection. A typical catbee hive is a multi-generational project that can take decades to complete, since construction must allow for the catbee’s extensive napping schedule.

I like the guard rails on the bottom hexagon. But the slats should start further up, to allow the prehensile stinger to have freedom.

Oh my gosh, didn’t even notice that cat until you mentioned it. I would be the one putting blackets and beds up there so babies could be comfortable. Anything to not provoke the felix stingus.
